Adore Advent Activity

ADORE is a 10-day countdown advent activity to help teach your children the real reason for the season.
These 10-days are made for the busy and realistic Mama! I wish I could commit to implementing a Christ-filled Christmas lesson each day in December, but I’m a realist! These 10 days can be used whenever they fit into your family’s schedule.
This means no prep, and no pressure. Yet, it’s also making sure we do not allow the season to get away from us without
teaching our children what really matters!

Each of the 10 days you will find the following:

1. Read Aloud – This is what you will read to your kiddos. It’s made to be short, educational, and fun.
2. Let’s Chat – You will find the “Let’s Chat” questions at the end of each Read Aloud. I broke them down into age-appropriate categories (littles, kiddos, & big kids) I’d suggest the following ages for each category:
   Littles: Ages 2-4
   Kiddos: Ages 5-8
   Big Kids: Ages 9-11
3. Coloring Page – I personally love a good coloring sheet! They are super simple to print off, and it allows children to leave with something to be proud of and remember what they learned. I would suggest making an advent book with these! I created a cover sheet they can color, as well as fill in their name and year. Collect all their coloring pages, and staple them together as a keepsake.
4. Family Fun – Here is the part you will be able to engage in a game, craft, or activity with the whole family. The goal is to make memories that last, and look back on a wonderful month celebrating the REASON for the SEASON, Jesus Christ.

Your children will walk away from the 10 days with a better understanding of why we celebrate Christmas.
They will have their own advent booklet that they made to remind them of all the lessons you shared together.
They will walk away with family memories that are truly priceless!
